Family Values

David and his wife, Karla (Stacy), friends since childhood, have been married for 35 years. Even though David’s employment carries him on assignments throughout the U.S., they have maintained New Richmond, Clermont County as their home.

David and Karla are both graduates of New Richmond High School. They have three children, all New Richmond graduates as well. David spent twenty years putting himself through night school to earn a college degree and works as a consultant to the Department of Energy. Karla is a Special Education Teacher at New Richmond Middle School. David and Karla have three grandsons.

A loving, supportive upbringing grounded in strong Christian morals, discipline and hard-work ethic is what identifies David and his approach to his family and life. As a family, the Painter’s enjoy Sunday dinners, cookouts and pool parties, large extended-family holiday gatherings, watching and participating in a variety of sporting events and listening to and talking with each other. Their very special activities include: theater, museum and zoo outings and the Cincinnati Bengals and Reds games.

As a family they embrace the good times as well as the tough times and support each other to the other side of all of them; then evaluate what they learned and move forward in a positive direction. The family’s journey has embraced Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

This was taken at Great American Ball Park. Ajax Knoechel, Grandson of David Painter, being held by his father, was chosen to throw out the first pitch representing Cincinnati Fire Fighters Local # 48.

Ajax is a miracle of Cincinnati Children's Hospital having survived leukemia.
